Bernard Hurley
CEO / Founder
Bernard Hurley is a key commercial real estate developer in the River North Art District (RiNo) in Denver, Colorado, and the founder and CEO of Menalto Development, LLC. He is also the Founder and Owner of Family Environmental Compliance Services, a full-service, environmental consulting firm with offices in Denver and Puerto Rico. Established in 1998, Menalto Development, LLC started with the purchase of an empty warehouse in Denver’s historically industrial neighborhood and has grown into what is now a seven-acre assemblage of the city’s’ most valuable real-estate.
Betsy Hurley-Komo
Managing Partner
Prior to joining Menalto Development, Betsy enjoyed a 30-year sales career in the Semiconductor Industry. She was most recently at NXP Semiconductor, where she held several positions including Technical Sales Engineer, Area Sales Manager and Regional Director. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Santa Clara University.
Ken Hurley
Managing Partner
After graduating with a degree in Finance, Ken spent 18 years in various sales, marketing, and operations roles for several international semiconductor companies. Ken was then hired to establish and lead an international semiconductor memory company which eventually grew to over $700,000,000.00 in annual revenue. Ken has also served on the board of a semiconductor design company and solid-state drive manufacturer, including roles as Managing Director. After 40 years in the technology industry, he relocated to Colorado in 2022 to assist with the development of The Hurley Place in RiNo, Denver.
Teresa Ortiz
Vice President
Teresa Ortiz is the Vice President of Menalto Development and has been intimately involved with the Hurley Place project since its inception. She is a highly skilled leader and oversees our development team on a daily basis. She is instrumental to the continued success of our mission as a leading real estate development company centered on social impact. Teresa is a Colorado native with deeply embedded roots within the Globeville and RiNo Art District communities of Denver. Teresa is currently serving her second term on the General Improvement District (GID Board) for the RiNo Arts District and is a Stakeholder in the Partner's of Chestnut committee in RiNo. She plays a key role in the vision and execution of our project.
