Our Story

Bernard Hurley (Founder / CEO)

Bernard Hurley is a key commercial real estate developer in the River North Art District (RiNo) in Denver, Colorado, and the founder and CEO of Menalto Development, LLC. He is also the Founder and Owner of Family Environmental Compliance Services, a full-service, environmental consulting firm with offices in Denver and Puerto Rico.

Established in 1998, Menalto Development, LLC started with the purchase of an empty warehouse in Denver’s historically industrial neighborhood and has grown into what is now a seven-acre assemblage of the city’s’ most valuable real estate.  This site will be the home of the highly anticipated Hurley Place Development. Winner of the Mayor’s Design Award in 2017, Menalto Development proudly partnered with Molson-Coors on the development of the Blue Moon Brewery RiNo location, the catalyst for the future redevelopment of the land assemblage in RiNo Denver. Bernard has been an active and dedicated leader in the RiNo community and has been instrumental in the formation of the RiNo Art District organization where he currently sits on the Board of Directors.  In addition, he has served as President of the RiNo General Improvement District (GID) Board and established the Partners of Chestnut, a committee for the local neighborhood. Bernard has dedicated much of his real estate career to developing invaluable relationships with the City of Denver. He continues to be an asset to the RiNo community for his immense passion and advocacy for the neighborhood.

Bernard strives to be a leader in the Real Estate Development industry by showing what is possible when kindness and inclusivity are at the center of how we do business.
